EMDR group
- The goal of group EMDR is to use a group framework to process a trauma episode to reduce traumatic stress, strengthen resilience and prevent post-trauma complications. The group EMDR model allows participants to reprocess their trauma alongside other trauma survivors. Group EMDR is a method by which a group of strangers can heal from trauma collectively, without the need to share their traumas. The trauma events are not shared with other group participants, and each participant engages in their own trauma processing in a confidential and safe environment. Group EMDR has been successfully used in New Zealand with ACC Sensitive Claims clients, Cyclone Gabrielle and people affected by the Christchurch Mosques attacks.

EMDR is also shown to be an effective treatment for various pain conditions like chronic musculoskeletal pain, low back pain, headaches, phantom limb pain, fibromyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis. This group is focused on Psychoeducation about pain neuroscience, EMDR reprocessing and pain management skills.
